IMPORT PHOTOS
Once you have lightroom open:
Click import in the lower left hand corner of the screen
Once the Import Screen is open select the source of your images either on your computer or from the cloud.
Then Click import and wait for Lightroom to load all of your images.
Then head over tot the Develop module by clicking "develop" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

INTERFACE LAYOUT EXPLAINED:
Left Panel: presets that automatically paste settings. For example: If you have a preset named "Bright Sunny Day" when you select it it automatically makes your image brighter like a sunny day.
Right Panel: the panel where you find all the settings and where we will be doing most of our work continued on the next page.
Bottom Panel: image carousel, scroll to find the images in your imported gallery/library.
Top Panel: switching modules, only need to switch from library to develop right now.
